Temporary Closure of USCIS Offices and ASCs

Effective March 18, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services is temporarily suspending in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASCs) in an effort to limit spread of the COVID-19 virus. This will impact I-485 adjustment of status interviews, Infopass appointments, naturalization interviews, and oath ceremonies, which are usually conducted at USCIS field offices, and biometrics (fingerprint) appointments at ASCs. The suspension will last to at least April 1.

USCIS states that field offices will send notices to individuals with affected appointments. Biometrics appointments will be automatically rescheduled once operations resume, and affected parties should receive a new appointment notice in the mail.
