February 8, 2019 - Attorney Ashley Thomas was invited to judge the ABA Client Counseling Competition hosted by South Texas College of Law Houston. The competition addresses fundamental skills necessary for all successful attorneys, namely the ability to interview, counsel, and support a client through their legal issue.

February 7, 2019 - Partner Rebecca Chen attended the Women’s Leadership Series at the Asia Society Texas Center to meet with energy executives on the importance of STEM education.

February 5, 2019 – Attorney Kristina M. Hernandez was invited to participate at Duchesne Academy’s Alumnae Professional Panel for high school students. Kristina M. Hernandez was thrilled to speak at her former high school and discussed topics such as her educational background, job duties, career challenges, and work-life balance as a lawyer.

February 4, 2019 – Attorneys Vy Hoang, Kristina M. Hernandez, Soo Choi, Justin Rivera, Zachary Taylor, Brenda Aguilar, and Ashley Thomas attended the Coalition of Houston Diverse Associations’ Reception celebrating diversity and our newly-elected judges. The Coalition calls on leaders to celebrate, build, and exemplify diversity in the legal community.

February 1, 2019 – Partners Rahul Reddy and Emily Neumann were invited by the Telangana American Telugu Association (TATA) to share their expertise in a free conference call for international students in the wake of the University of Farmington ICE operations.

January 26, 2019 – Attorneys Kristina M. Hernandez and Brenda Aguilar attended the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Go Tejano Committee Scholarship Gala at Arabia Shrine Center Houston. The Go Tejano Committee awards 20 scholarships in the amount of $20,000 to Texas students every year.

January 24, 2019 – Attorneys Vy Hoang and Soo Choi, along with Paralegal Adriana Buentello, attended the Asian Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Lunar New Year Networking Night at Giau Bar N’ Bites. ACC is a diverse, multicultural group focused on increasing business with the local and abroad Asian communities for 25 year, as well as improving the overall economic prosperity of Houston.

January 24, 2019 – Attorney Kristina M. Hernandez was invited by the Houston Bar Association President to serve on the 2019 Harris County Bench Bar Pro Bono Awards Committee. This committee of judges and attorneys each year reviews nominations and selects recipients of awards based on outstanding pro bono work for the previous calendar year.

December 13, 2018 – Attorneys Vy Hoang and Amanda Cardwell attended the Houston Young Lawyer Association (HYLA) Annual Holiday Party & HYLF Silent Auction. This year’s HYLAWOOD party was attended by over 300 people and raised money for the Adopt-an-Angel Program, provided holiday gifts to Title One schools and local charities, and awarded grants to various Greater Houston non-profits.

November 19, 2018 – Attorney Kristina M. Hernandez was elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. November 17, 2018 – Attorney Steven Brown planned and managed a Point of Distribution mission to support the Elizabeth Lutheran Church monthly food pantry to support Burleson County Residents. The mission distributed 40,000 pounds of food to over 250 families.

November 3, 2018 – Attorneys Vy Hoang and Amanda Cardwell walked the Walk to End Alzheimer’s sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association. Held at the University of Houston campus, the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

October 31, 2018 – The Reddy & Neumann, P.C. team came to work dressed up and competed in the annual costume competition for this year’s Thriller-themed Halloween Party. Paralegal Saadia Hashmi won the scariest costume award, and Paralegal Jose Hernandez won the most creative costume award.

October 29, 2018 – Reddy & Neumann, P.C.’s law clerks passed the Texas Bar, and we are particularly proud to expand with the addition of two new attorneys, Brenda Aguilar and Ashley Thomas.

The letter was submitted to DHS Secretary Nielsen and Congress.

October 13, 2018 – Attorney Paloma Stevens attended the Children’s Museum of Houston Dia De Los Muertos Gala. The Gala raised funds to help the Museum support year-round programs that build literacy, math and science skills for the children, while building parenting skills of parents and caregivers in the Greater Houston Area.

Each year scholarships are awarded to law students from each of the three Houston-based law schools. The Luncheon also honors pioneers of the community who exemplify the ideals of the foundation.

August 10, 2018 – For the second time this year, Partner Emily Neumann was named Top 10 Best Texas Immigration Attorney Award of 2018 by Attorney and Practice Magazine.

May 5, 2018 – Attorney Vy Hoang participated in the MD Anderson Sprint for Life 5K Run/Walk to support the fight to end ovarian cancer by way of funding for clinical and transitional research, as well as grants for new areas of research that improve detection, prevention, treatment, and positively impact survivorship.

May 1, 2018 – Partner Emily Neumann was named by American Institute of Legal Counsel’s Top 10 Best Texas Immigration Attorney Award of 2018.

April 9, 2018 – Attorney Paloma Stevens attended the Texas Children’s Cancer Center’s 13th Anniversary of An Evening with a Legend honoring NBA Legend, Shaquille O’Neal. The annual event raised critical funds for pediatric cancer research at Texas Children’s Cancer Center, which is the largest pediatric cancer and blood disease treatment program in the United States.

March 23, 2018 – Law Clerk Brenda Aguilar attended the Hispanic Law Students Association (HLSA) Gala, an annual event organized by the three Houston area law schools. This event recognizes the achievements of the organization and honors the accomplishments of our alumni, as well as awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving 1L, 2L, 3L students at each Houston law school. As the Vice President of South Texas College of Law’s HLSA, Brenda Aguilar aided in organizing meetings, events, scholarship opportunities, and the annual Heritage Hispanic event for our current students and STCL alumni.

March 12, 2018 – Attorney Kristina M. Hernandez was sworn in as President of the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston (MABAH), one of the largest Hispanic legal organizations in the State of Texas.

March 7-10, 2018 – Law Clerk Ashley Thomas competed in the 2018 INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament in Chicago, Illinois. The team won 1st Place Client/Advocate Team and 5th Place for Best Mediator, led by our own Ashley Thomas.

March 2, 2018 – Reddy & Neumann, P.C. donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in support of the Gulf Coast Student of the Year campaign. The LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer, and their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, and Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
